This year our charity partner will be DAY1.
DAY1 mentoring program helps young people to become focused end encourages them to unlock their potential, regain self-confidence and ultimately help them find employment in the area they are passionate about.
Along with getting the young people and their mentors down and having a go at the boats, this year our aim with the money that guests donate is to put 3 or more young persons through RYA Power Boat Level 2 with @Compass Sea School , who are helping to support us on this. This is a formal qualification and is a gateway to a whole range of possible careers: commercial skipper, powerboat instructor, leisure skipper, deck hand on super yachts and safety boat driver.
