About the Fleet

Caley Cruisers operate a fleet of 24 motor cruisers with 9 different boat classes.

Boat Inventory

Each boat is fully equipped with the following inventory:

  • two ring hob & oven, fridge
  • Washing up liquid, dish cloths and tea towels
  • Toilet cleaner and one toilet roll per toilet
  • life jackets
  • bed linen & towels (1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person)
  • hot & cold running water
  • shower & vacuum toilet (electric flush on Torridon, Kintail & Balmoral)
  • warm air central heating
  • thrusters
  • safety equipment
  • safety rails
  • 240v supply through inverter 
  • electrical hook-up
  • 12v cigarette lighter connection 
  • radio/CD
  • hair dryer
  • large capacity toilet holding tank
  • large/full tank of diesel – no refuelling required
  • table/settee can be converted into a berth

Note: Smoking is not permitted on board any of our vessels. 

Inventory of Items on Board 

On board your cruiser you will find the following items: all cutlery and crockery including glasses and egg cups.  1 small, 1 medium and 1 large pan, a frying pan and a grill pan. Casserole dish and lid, colander, measuring jug, roasting dish, teapot, French press (cafetiere), kettle, slotted spoon, serving spoon, potato masher, ladle, fish slice, wooden spoon, bread knife, small sharp knife, tongs, corkscrew, tin opener, cheese grater, potato peeler and scissors.

We do not provide any condiments such as salt, pepper or cooking oil etc. However you can purchase these in our new Box Of Essentials hamper.

There is a chopping board, sink tidy, washing up bowl with cloth and brush and a supply of environmentally friendly washing up liquid. 1 set of oven gloves and a couple of tea towels, a dustbin with lid and dustpan & brush and a mop.

A toilet roll is provided in each toilet and a toilet brush, a toothbrush mug, toilet cleaner and liquid hand wash.

There should be plenty of hangers in the wardrobes for your clothing. 

The water on board is drinking water, but do bring bottled water if you prefer.

What to bring

 It is advisable to use soft luggage cases on board. Hard cases are impractical and bulky. If you are travelling by rail, air or coach, we will be happy to store at the boatyard any cases or equipment you will not require while you are on holiday.

Recommended types of clothing to take with you are: general outdoor activity clothing, waterproofs and spare clothing, deck shoes or other suitable footwear such as lightweight hiking boots. Please also remember to bring gloves as they are very important for rope work. Other recommended items are: binoculars, torch, sunglasses, sun lotion and insect repellent, such as SMIDGE

Please note: No First Aid kit supplied so please bring your own.

Caley Cruisers have been offering boating holidays on Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal since 1970 and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2020! Weekly or short break charter is available from April to October inclusive. No previous boating experience necessary as full training given.
