Prices & Information

Hire Charges for 2013 start from £527 per boat, per week, or £343 for a 3 night short break, (Iona - Price Band A) and go up to £2,288 (Balmoral - Price Band E). Costs for fuel and a damage waiver are charged in addition. All 2013 prices are detailed on the individual boat class pages, all prices incl. the current VAT rate and are quoted in £ Sterling (GBP).

Weekly prices apply for Saturday start per week. For holidays starting on Friday the following Saturday charges apply, for holidays starting on Monday the previous Saturday charges apply.

Our operating will commence on Friday, 29th March 2013 and finishes on Saturday, 26th October 2013 so the last weekly hires can commence Saturday, 19th October 2013.  Unfortunately due to limited daylight and the possibility of extreme weather conditions we are unable to offer hires after the end of our operating season.

Bookings for 2014
If you make a booking for 2014 and book before the end of October 2013, you will receive the 2013 hire charge. Please note: where bank holidays dates change, the equivalent 2013 hire charges applicable for the same bank holidays will apply.

Many of the larger vessels such as Strathspey, Highland Monarch & Balmoral do book up to 12 months in advance therefore we do recommend you book these as early as you can.

To make a booking, please check availability online and complete the request form, or call us during normal office hours (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm) on 01463 236328.

Please note: If you make a booking over the phone, we would still require you to complete the online booking form, confirming that you have read and accept our terms & conditions of hire.

Cancellation
For early bookings we guarantee you an unconditional refund of the money you have paid if, before 15th January (in the year the booking will take place), you have to cancel (for any reason) a holiday booked to be taken from 29th March of that year onwards.

If you have to cancel after 15th January a charge will be applicable therefore we recommend you have a cancellation insurance policy in place at the time of booking.   You must telephone us immediately if you have to cancel and on the same day send us written confirmation (email is acceptable).  See Condition 6 in our Terms & Conditions for cancellation fees applicable

At our discretion and subject to availability we may be able to transfer your booking to an alternative date.  The hire charge applicable to the new dates or boat class would be applicable.

Additional Information:

Fuel Deposit
In addition to the Hire Charge you must pay a Fuel Deposit (amount depending on boat class).  The deposit paid is enough to cover the average hire, (currently: approximately 190 litres for the larger boats and 150 litres for the smaller vessels).  Depending on how fast you travel, how far you go and the weather conditions you may use more than the deposit covers.  Your boat is full of fuel on takeover and carries about 550 litres of fuel.  When you return at the end of your holiday the boat will be refuelled and payment adjusted against the deposit.  Some of the larger boats such as Taransay, Highland Monarch and Balmoral can use quite a lot of fuel if you go quickly or through signifcant use of the central heating on board.  The fuel rate applicable is a 60/40 split.  This means that 60% is charged at standard road fuel rates and 40% is charged at red diesel rates.

Damage Waiver
Payment of a non-refundable Damage Waiver is applicable for all bookings. This gives you fully comprehensive cover in the event of accidental loss or damage to your boat, its equipment or if you accidently damage for example another vessel or jetty etc or injure a third party (£5 million limit on liability cover).
It does not cover any damage caused by the deliberate or negligent act or omission of you or any member of your party (including where the person concerned is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any similar substance) or any failure by you to comply with our safety instructions or booking conditions. In this case we reserve the right to make a charge to cover the loss or damage
